Artist Statement

During the last several years, I have been exploring multi-dimensional work in clay which has been intensely absorbing and fascinating.

I vividly remember playing with dolls and stuffed animals as a young girl. They brought me comfort, pleasure, new coping skills, and on occasion, solutions to conflicts. This current work attempts to recreate some of those childhood characters and interact with them both as an artist and as a woman.
